SWEARS IN 14 NEW PROSECUTORS The Santa Clara County District Attorney Jeff Rosen swore in 14 new prosecutors this week, including a local Bellarmine graduate just starting his legal career to a former truck driver who has spent two decades prosecuting cases, including the killers of transgender teen Gwen Araujo. The new Deputy District Attorney’s hail from such places as South Korea and San Jose and came from law schools, private firms and other excellent District Attorneys’ Offices throughout the state. Most of them began work this week with a slate of orientation and training classes. Said District Attorney Rosen: “These new prosecutors chose this D.A.'s Office because of our well deserved reputation for vigorous and ethical prosecution. Excellence attracts excellence. That excellence, their energy and experiences, will only enhance our service to the people of Santa Clara County." The new prosecutors join about 180 other lawyers and more than 500 employees in the largest District Attorney’s Office in Northern California, handling about 40,000 cases a year. They are:
