If a verdict is reached in the DeShawn Campbell case, Santa Clara County District Attorney Dolores Carr will hold a 4:00PM news conference on the day that it is returned in the 3rd floor conference room at 70 West Hedding Street. At that time, District Attorney Carr, along with Deputy District Attorney Lane Liroff who prosecuted the case, will discuss the verdict reached in the case against DeShawn Campbell, accused of killing San Jose Police Officer Jeffrey Fontana on the morning of October 28, 2001. Also appearing and available for interviews will be San Jose Police Chief Robert L. Davis and members of Officer Jeff Fontana’s family. This is an advance notice for media agencies only. In the event that a verdict is reached late in the day, please contact the District Attorney’s Office for more information about the time and place for the news conference.
