408-808-3706   For release on June 20, 2007   DISTRICT ATTORNEY INVESTIGATORS CELEBRATE CENTENNIAL ANNIVERSARY   The Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office Bureau of Investigation Criminal Investigators will celebrate their 100th anniversary on Thursday, June 21, when they will receive commemorative centennial badges.   The sterling silver eagle-top commemorative badge was designed after the original 1907 badge worn by William J. Dreischmeyer, Santa Clara County’s first and only detective for the district attorney’s office until 1941.  District Attorney Investigators will be authorized by Bureau of Investigation Chief Thomas Brewer to wear the commemorative badges for one year.    District Attorney Dolores Carr will ceremonially swear in a group of Criminal Investigators in front of honored guests, co-workers, family members and friends, at the Isaac Newton Senter Auditorium, at 11 a.m.  Both District Attorney Carr and Chief Brewer will be presented with their own commemorative badge by Kevin Richlin, President of the Santa Clara County District Attorney Investigators’ Association.   ###
