(408) 792-2702 For release on January 20, 2005 DISTRICT ATTORNEY’S AWARDS FOR EXCELLENCE IN 2004 Yesterday the District Attorney’s Office celebrated outstanding accomplishments of 2004.
- Deputy District Attorney Martha Donohoe received the Napoleon J. Menard Trial Advocacy Award for her successful prosecution of a complex charity fraud case involving a former high ranking law enforcement official and attorneys.
- Deputy District Attorney Leigh Frazier received the Robert L. Webb Award for Misdemeanor Trial Advocacy for her perfect trial record in prosecuting difficult misdemeanor cases in North County.
- Deputy District Attorney Christine Hudson received the Clayton L. Haupert Excellence Award for her tireless devotion to at-risk children. Ms. Hudson is part of the Juvenile Dependency Unit which represents children who are hurt or neglected by their caretakers.
- Investigators Kevin Richlin and Michael Schembri received the Robert Drexel Award for excellence in police work. Richlin led an investigation of the complex charity fraud case and Schembri collaborated with Los Gatos to solve the Jeanine Harms murder.
- Senior Paralegal David Ocampo received the Paralegal Excellence Award for his organization and management of the complex charity fraud case.
- Office Specialist II Yolanda Ortiz received the 2004 Award of Excellence because she handled a complex assignment involving quality control and imaging without complaint during budget crisis.
