11:00am – 2:00pm Location: County Government Center Plaza
70 West Hedding Street, San Jose Program: Please join District Attorney Dolores Carr, San Jose Mayor Chuck Reed, President of the County Board of Supervisors Liz Kniss, Scott Webb, Executive Director of the Carole Sund Carrington Foundation, and Josh Rojas, brother of murder victim Victoria Rojas, in honoring victims of crime in our community. Speakers will begin at 12:00pm. The event will include many informational tables from a variety of organizations such as: Mothers Against Drunk Driving, Child Quest International, the Anti-Defamation League, Bill Wilson Center, Silicon Valley Crime Stoppers, Network for a Hate-Free Community, Victim Witness Assistance, Vanished Children’s Alliance, San Jose Police Department’s Human Trafficking Unit, the Mayor’s Gang Prevention Task Force, Council on American-Islamic Relations, the Santa Clara County Assessor’s Office, the Carole Sund/Carrington Foundation, and City Year Silicon Valley. Representatives from the District Attorney’s Office will be at the event to provide information on consumer protection, real estate fraud, elder fraud, child abduction, family violence, and Parent Project. The event will include music and a light lunch. ###
