For Immediate Release   GOVERNOR SCHWARZENEGGER APPOINTS KURT KUMLI TO SANTA CLARA SUPERIOR COURT   Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger today announced the appointment of Kurt E. Kumli to a judgeship in the Santa Clara County Superior Court   Kumli, 44, of San Francisco, has served in the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office since 1989.  He currently holds the post of chief deputy district attorney and heads the Juvenile Delinquency and Dependency Unit.  Kumli was an associate attorney with Caulfield, Davies & Donahue from 1987 to 1988.  He earned a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Pacific McGeorge School of Law and Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley.  He fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Robert Baines.  Kumli is a Democrat.   The compensation for this position is $149,160.   # # #
