(408) 792-2826 For release on December 19, 2007 NEW INVESTIGATOR/PUBLIC INFORMATION OFFICER Santa Clara County District Attorney Dolores Carr announced today that Nick Muyo has joined the office as an Investigator/Public Information Officer. Mr. Muyo joins our office’s team of Public Information Officers, and will be available for media inquiries and requests. Nick Muyo recently retired from the San Jose Police Department after 27 years of service. He has 32 years of combined law enforcement experience, including five years with the Berkeley Police Department. Mr. Muyo has worked as an investigator in the Sexual Assaults Unit, as a Night Detective out of the Robbery Unit, and as a Field Training Officer. He has experience as a Sergeant in Internal Affairs and the R.E.A.C.T. High Technology Task Force. For the past 33 months, Mr. Muyo was the supervisor in the Press Information Office at the San Jose Police Department. District Attorney Dolores Carr says, “Nick Muyo’s law enforcement and public relations experience will greatly benefit our office’s ability to communicate with the media and the public.” ###
