DA Rosen Chooses Veteran Prosecutor as New Top Manager
Women Now Make Up Half of All Assistant DAs

Santa Clara County District Attorney Jeff Rosen today announced his appointment of veteran prosecutor Angela Bernhard as one of the Office’s top managers.

Ms. Bernhard, who joined the Office in 1998, has served for three years as the Office’s Chief Trial Deputy and the supervisor of the Homicide Unit. She will join DA Rosen’s team of six Assistant District Attorneys. ADAs oversee multiple teams in the Office and serve as DA Rosen’s innermost circle of advisors and legal experts. She is an inspirational, powerful leader. She is the kind of public servant that our community and I are lucky to rely upon for the most demanding of jobs – the safety of our families and friends.”

Also making history in the largest district attorney’s office in Northern California, is prosecutor Daniel Okonkwo. Mr. Okonkwo – who has been the supervisor of the Complaints Unit - will replace Bernhard as the Office’s Chief Trial Deputy.
