District Attorney and Special Assistant to be honored with Justice Award

The Northern California Innocence Project will honor Santa Clara County District Attorney Jeff Rosen and Special Assistant District Attorney David Angel with their Justice Award at the NCIP Dinner on March 21, 2013 in Redwood City. They will be recognized for pursuing truth and justice in Santa Clara County and throughout California.

In announcing the award, the SCU NCIP says, "The Santa Clara DA’s office has focused on implementing criminal justice reforms to improve the integrity and accuracy of the system while reducing the risk of wrongful conviction. Mr. Rosen was elected Santa Clara County District Attorney in 2010, reinstated the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Conviction Integrity Unit, and appointed Mr. Angel as the Special Assistant District Attorney in charge of Conviction Integrity."
