(408) 792-2581   For Immediate Release on September 13, 2002     THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY’S OFFICE AND THE CITY OF CAMPBELL POLICE DEPARTMENT ARE ASKING FOR HELP IN SOLVING A BURGLARY AT THE CAMPBELL HABITAT FOR HUMANITY WORK SITE   The District Attorney’s Office Community Prosecutions Unit and the Campbell Police Department are requesting assistance in the investigation of the theft of tools from a Habitat for Humanity work site. The theft occurred on July 25 in the area of Campbell Avenue and San Tomas Expressway in Campbell. Several power tools were stolen including brand name screw, staple and nail guns, power drills, circular saws, a tile saw, and an air compressor. These tools are engraved with the initials "SVHH" and spray painted orange.   Silicon Valley Habitat for Humanity is a private organization dedicated to building houses for families who cannot otherwise afford a home. The organization depends upon volunteer labor and contributions.A $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of anyone involved in this theft. Members of the public may call CrimeStoppers at (408) 947-7867 or the Campbell Police Department at (408) 866-2101.   ###
