Re: M&R Contemporary Solutions

People v. Mariano Ortega and Rene Alvarez

The Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office is prosecuting Mariano Ortega and Rene Alvarez, the owners of M & R Contemporary Solutions, for fraud and allegedly illegally collecting advance fees before performing promised services. Victims may have received a letter or e-mail from an M&R representative stating that the case has been dismissed. This is untrue. Mariano Ortega and Rene Alvarez are still facing criminal charges. A judge has frozen bank accounts that are controlled by M&R Solutions that contain hundreds of thousands of dollars. Eventually this money could be applied towards restitution for the victims in this case to cover at least some of the losses victims have suffered. In the attachments below, there is a notice regarding this seizure, two different OSC/TRO's, and questionnaires in English and Spanish.
