In addition, she was ordered to never again engage in fortune telling, psychic readings, tarot card readings, love spell castings, palm readings, and spiritual advising. Miller pled no contest to one count of Theft by False Pretense in September. Lisa Miller convinced a woman who was “down on her luck” that she was cursed and needed spiritual cleansing. The victim gave her a total of $108,000 in cash and gift cards. As part of her sentencing condition, the defendant has already paid back the victim $61,000. Lisa Miller’s sister-in-law and mother-in-law are also facing similar charges. 56-year old Lola Miller pled guilty in August to two counts of grand theft for a psychic/fortune teller scam. Lola Miller is scheduled to be sentenced on January 26, 2009. 23-year old Danielle Miller, Lisa Miller’s sister-in-law, is scheduled for a preliminary setting on Thursday, December 11th.    ###
