Angelica Longa, LCSW
Overview
Angelica is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has worked for the County of Santa Clara for the past 18 years providing a variety of services for vulnerable populations. She received her bachelor’s degree in counseling psychology from John F. Kennedy University and her master’s degree in social work from San Jose State University. Additionally, Angelica’s love for animals spurred her to obtain a post-graduate certificate in Animal and Human Health from the University of Denver, with a goal to provide Animal Assisted therapy with children. The majority of Angelica's career has been working with foster youth, ages 0-21. Angelica has witnessed how trauma impacts individuals and communities and its impact on lifelong functioning. Angelica has a passion for working with children using trauma informed approaches to create an environment for transformation and healing.
