KSBW 8: Accused Serial Arsonist Makes First Court Appearance, Bail Revoked

A central coast man accused of going on an arson spree, that gripped the communities of Morgan Hill and Gilroy, and destroyed a condominium complex under construction, won’t be getting out of jail anytime soon after a judge revoked his bail Thursday afternoon.

Prosecutors have charged Daniel Catano, 32 with starting nearly a dozen fires beginning last month. They say his first and most destructive fire was on Depot street in Morgan Hill where Catano allegedly burned down a condominium complex that was being built.
